Workplace diversity and inclusive hiring and promotion are a business imperative for Symantec. As part of our continuing efforts to promote gender equality, Symantec declared its support for the Women’s Empowerment Principles in May 2010. The Principles, which were developed by the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and the United Nations Global Compact, identify important steps that businesses can take to advance and empower women.
Funding for the Microsoft IT Academy is provided by the federal Library Services and Technology Act, which is administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The launch of the Microsoft IT Academy marks the first time the subscription-based program will be made available to Hawaii’s library users through in-library and remote access via Windows Internet Explorer.

Our mainframe courses get hundreds of student registrations per year and each year more than 20 graduates earn positions with IBM and its mainframe customers, including Chinese banks, Morgan Stanley, Atos, First Data, among others. The students have proven themselves very competent in their fields and are highly welcomed by the employers.
