Cyber spies exploiting Java, Flash flaws
Cyber spies have planted Java- and Flash-exploiting malware on Web sites focused on human rights, defense and foreign policy.
Over the last two weeks, the Shadowserver Foundation, a nonprofit group that tracks Internet threats, has discovered several such compromised Web sites that download the malware through visitors’ browsers. Cisco braces for biggest layoffs in its history
Four analysts contacted by Reuters estimated the world’s largest maker of network equipment will eliminate up to 4,000 jobs in coming months, with the average forecast at 3,000. That would represent 4 percent of Cisco’s 73,000 permanent workers. It also has an undisclosed number of temporary contractors.
