CompTIA training academy aimed at boosting IT skills

IT trade association CompTIA has opened an academy designed to support IT trainers and educators as they attempt to improve technology skills in areas where knowledge and equipment is hard to come by.The CompTIA Authorised Academy Membership Program (CAPP) Academy will let trainers do their jobs more efficiently,by offering lower cost resources and certification, and access to its support community.

In a report, Top 10 Technology Trends: Enterprise IT in 2012, Hayward stated that this year is looking to bring businesses a great deal of uncertainty and slow economic growth, especially with the European economic outlook.

Cognizant’s revenue guidance hints at caution among IT companies

The marginal downward revision by Cognizant in its revenue guidance for 2012 is likely to stoke fresh worries in the minds of investors about the near-term prospects of IT outsourcing. On Monday, the research firm released its report stating revenue for the top 5 Indian IT services players–Tata Consultancy Services (TCS); Infosys; Cognizant; Wipro; and HCL Technologies–reached US$29.8 billion in 2011, from US$24 billion in 2010. Sensex, Nifty flat; IT plunges post Cognizant cuts guidance

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened flat on Tuesday after seeing a sharp swing yesterday. Even US and Asian markets were sideways in trade.
